These four characters show dualism because they didn’t show their true feelings or selves or protect Hannah Bakers from the people who spread rumors about her. First, Jessica Davis: Jessica and Hannah met at the counselors’ office; they are both new to the school. Since then they became best friends--they hung out after and at school.
