The first three chapters of Genesis tell the story of God’s creation of the world and how it reflects the way women are seen. Proverbs and First Corinthians also shape the way women are meant to be character wise. Throughout these chapters’ women are seen as noble, powerful, and respected.
With the creation of women, it is portrayed that the reason that woman are called a woman is because she was made of him a man. “And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” (Genesis 2016). Which even with the nouns of she and he it is used to think that she is nothing without he. Just as women isn’t complete without men. Also, with female and male. Depending on the view of a person this can be seen as both bad and good. Such as in the view of a female where it could be seen as degrading because both men and women are born of female not of a male, therefore, a male shouldn’t be considered the main idea. But to counter in the view of a males it could be saying that they are one instead of two individuals. That neither is a full being without the other.
In the man’s view male and female were unique because it separates them from the rest of creation. It shows that both men and women are considered more valuable than the rest of Gods Creations. So that would make men and women equal since they are considered the image of God. They are considered a prize only if together and will fail without each other. On…
