Sofia woke up like any other day. She climbed up out of bed, got dressed, gathered her items, and walked to her place of work.

But something just wasn’t right on this specific day. Sofia’s walk to work had been put to a stop as she stumbled upon the body of a man who had been running all around town talking and screaming to himself before he collapsed dead on the street.

Before Sofia would soon pull out her phone and dial 911, for just a few moments, she considered the unusual man. Even a baby knows what a crazy person looks like.

And in that minute she stared, Sofia thought to herself how lucky she was to be normal, to be healthy.

“I am sane. I am in control of my mind and my body. I know what is real, what is not.” She whispered to herself. She found it calming to think about this, and in an unusual way, seeing this crazy man, made her feel better about her life.

But then Sofia thought about the meeting she was getting late for, where the impressions of the very important people that are present in the would affect her whole life. There was no time to think, so it was only a minute that Sofia stood there and

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK… The pounding on the old, oak door disrupted Alice’s cleaning. Alice scurried to the door, her dull yellow dress flowing with every step she took as she fumbled to wipe her hands on a rag leaving a subtle hint of crimson under her nails.
