The stereotype of bingo loving elders may seem to be exaggerated, but I must tell you, I have witnessed first hand the power that Bingo holds over these men and women. Bingo is a game that tests the condition of one’s hearing and cognition. Therefore, it is not only fun, but it is also a useful tool in providing mental stimulation to keep the mind sharp. On Bingo Fridays, I worked with elders that may have difficulty either hearing, seeing, or maintaining attention in order to correctly play the game. Sometimes the elder I assisted only required minimal aid, while others needed it played for them. Even blind women still came to play. At first I wondered why those who didn't have the proper senses to play would come. Through my experience,
