Fabien Corbillion's article scrutinizes athletes perceptions of the social support provided by coaches and teammates during their injury. The motive of this study were to distinguish whether or not there were substantial differences between starter and non starter athletes. The results concluded those who were non-starters received significantly less emotional and social support compared to those who were starter athletes. This source will be essential to my paper. My paper will focus on both the mental and psychical effect a sport may bring forth to an athlete after an injury. The interviews presented in Fabien's article will exhibit how coaches contribute to the way an athlete perceives that sport after injuries were attained. "General Medical Conditions in the Athlete." Physical Therapy, vol. 86, no. 9, Sept. 2006, pp. 1308-1309. EBSCOhost. Web.

The results showed that females athletes worried more about their future and discerned the coaches as presenting more of negative approach towards them compared to males. This information will be useful to my paper because it offers a fresh perspective on previous thoughts while remaining on topic. It allows me to take a better stand on my argument while providing background evidence that sports can affect its players, both male and
