I chose to talk about the author Jesse Hilton Stuart for many reasons, one of these reasons because I believe of what Jesse Stuart believed in .
Jesse Stuart has been, throughout his life, deeply involved in education. He told a close friend that "he was a writer who loved to teach." Stuart was proud of his educational experiences. My parents always told me that education is so important, that also what Stuart believed.
Another reason why I chose this author is because I was so touched by his life story. Stuart carried a massage of how poor farm boy could receive fame and fortune through hard work.
The story "The Split Cheery Tree" inspired me, Dave the poor child whose parent are uneducated tries to study in order to change the reality. The thing that made me insist and work in order to achieve my dreams

Whenever southern literature authors are brought up, Harry Crews is almost surely mentioned every single time. The many memoirs, short stories, and novels he wrote over a number of years, like A Childhood: The Biography of a Place, and A Feast of Snakes, are often seen as a reflection of his tough childhood, filled with violence, self-damage, and alcohol. Although his “legendary” alcohol consumption almost brought him to his end years before his actual death, these seemingly negative aspects about Crews, in fact, helped him with his professional career as a writer and facilitated a writing style that many people had never encountered before (McKittrick). This “new” style of writing gave Crews a great amount of success and ended up solidifying…

When I think of the American Dream I think about using education as a means to rise above what you came from. It doesn’t necessarily mean being filthy rich or famous but living comfortably and being able to enjoy certain luxuries and indulgences (i.e. travelling, going out to eat, taking vacations, having your own car, owning a home, etc.) without worrying about how you are going to pay the bills next month. In terms of education the American Dream still exists. Many people are still going to college and trying to obtain degrees as a means to achieve the American Dream however, there are several factors making it harder for people to achieve the American Dream by going to college.…

A student who could sit down and show their personality through their work is so hard to come by anymore. I strongly agree with Sir Ken Robinson 's position on education. Sir Ken Robinson 's position on education appealed to logos, making him an effective speaker by using examples of successful artists who never succeeded in school, but succeeded in creating a legacy for themselves. He also uses ethos, stating himself as one of the academic professors who "lives in his head". The world functions with the use of mathematics, the sciences, and government, but it flourishes with the arts and evolves with creativity.…
