I do believe that Jesus is truly present. This is true to me because of Jesus’ teaching in the New Testament and the action of the transfiguration that has come to be based upon His very own words in his New Testament teachings. My belief influences my practice of my faith immensely. I seek out the consumption of the Eucharist regularly by celebrating of our Lord Jesus every Sunday and often here at CBA both as an entire school community and some mornings in the chapel. No, my practice does not present a conflict with my belief that we actually eat the Glorified Body of Jesus because myself and other Catholics fully embrace that teaching and still praise Jesus in all of His …show more content…
As well, I agree that the action of the sacrament does effect in an increase of the Holy Spirit within one particular person because as soon as that sin is washed away and forgiven, the Holy Spirit comes to fill that gap and bring one closer to God. Moreover, I agree with the fact that another effect of the Sacrament of Penance is reconciliation with the Church because as soon as one comes to be on good Terms with God by confessing, they are then on good terms with the Church due to their close relationship with and belief in God. Sadly, I think fewer Catholic receive the sacrament these days because of an incorrect notion that receiving the Eucharist on Sundays and prayer alone washes away all sins. This is not the case and in order to clean your conscience entirely after a more severe than venial sin is committed, one needs to repent, this is why I see the Sacrament as part of my Christian
