The Incarnational Tradition or Sacramental life is very important to the history of Christianity, In fact, Jesus is the focus of this tradition. Jesus came down from heaven to earth. Jesus was God transformed in the flesh (John 1:14 “And the word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as the only begotten from the Father full of grace and truth” (NASB). Jesus came and made the distinction between sacred and secular and between faith and work. This paper will discuss how a Sacramental life help me to focus on my life as a harmonious unit, and how it impacts my worship and my ministry constituents. I start by realizing the only way my life can be harmonious is to have God present in my life. Once, I surrendered my life and Holy Spirit enter my being, then the body and the spirit become in unity. I have also realized that practicing the Sabbath allows time for rest and relaxation and time to commune with the Holy Father. The Sabbath helps me to focus on God and not all the busyness of today’s world. The Sacramental life made me focus on that which was scared and that was secular .Paul states “For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am flesh sold into bondage to sin. “ For I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very things I hate” (Romans 7:14-15b).So , we must cooperate with the Holy spirit by removing self from the spiritual equation and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and direct my life and assisting me to concentrate on that which is holy. As a human is easy to find myself caught up the materialist world, but having Jesus as my Lord and Savior prevent me from being “conformed to world but being transformed by the renewing of the mind.” (Roman 12:2).I have learned to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, and as Smith writes, “We must cooperate with the Holy Spirit rather than resist it” The Sacramental life was mentioned last Sunday in Sunday school, and I began to recollect how I was not allowed to work, watch television …show more content…
She informed she was attending school and had concerns regarding her financial status. I asked her did she believe in God and have faith, her reply was yes, but it has been a while since I attended church. My reply was God‘s love for you still remains. You can pray and have faith, God will give you the answer.
I was a conduit of His grace by sharing the message of God’s love and grace for his people. I was nonjudgmental and exhibited love. And being a conduit of His grace is considered “Worship” when you are willing to share God’s goodness, His love to others in a way that they may receive the gift of salvation. When you work in the honor of God you lend yourself being a “living sacrifice” (Roman12:1-2), this accomplished by living a consecrated life, by giving yourself back to God. God is given the total control of the mind, body and soul. We dedicate our time, talents, and treasures to be utilized by God. It is absolute surrender to God’s will, and His
