An airplane seat, your bed if it is made of memory foam it is actually a NASA invention that was invented to protect astronauts if they crash and airplanes if they crash. It was made to absorb the shock if they crashed to reduce the chances of getting hurt. Now they line football helmets and our bed (J. Kiger). Now I sleep on a memory foam pillow and now I can't sleep without one. Another big one water filter, now I live out in the country and I can promise you if we didn't have a water filter then I can promise you I would not drink my water. NASA needed a way to make sure that the water the astronauts were drinking were safe and there was nothing out there so they made one. An iodine water filter was created and it laid the framework for the water that filters your drinking water the water you take a shower in and the water you use to shower with. Now without that people would be getting sick and it just wouldn't be safe. But because if NASA and their funding we have clean water (J. …show more content…
NASA as competition from a US private company called, SpaceX. Now let's compare and contrast NASA and SpaceX budget. NASA budget is 18.4 billion dollars (Wilson). Space X in the past 10 years have operated on roughly 1 billion dollars (Post). Now you are probably like stop complaining NASA budget is 100 times more!! Well yes, but why does space have a space ship that can be used multiple times and that can land itself? I'll tell you why because out 18.4 billion dollars only about 600,000,000,000 are used for space exploration and space advances and anything like that. Which, again seems like a lot but within that, there are over 20 different things that that funding has to be split up for which a giant isn't a lot when you know how much it cost to do anything with space (Wilson). But Spaces X goes strictly to space exploration and space technology
