The first space that I went into and frequently go to is Ross. Ross is a family friendly clothing store, with few home items, for all ages. In the majority of the Ross stores that I have been to when entering the store you mainly come across women’s items (i.e. purses, shoes, clothing, things for mothers, etc.). While thing for men are usually kept off toward the back of to one side of the store. This area where men’s thing are located is not as big as compared to the females, which takes up a little over three quarters of the store.

Both stores unknowingly/knowingly have their stereotypical items that are marketed to both men and women. In Best Buy appliances that are stereotypically associated with women such as stoves, refrigerators, cellphones, etc. usually have things pictures around the area with women using them. While things that are typically associated with men have masculine images around the area. As for Ross items for women are usually very vibrant/colorful and vibrant, but for men things are masculine and dark colored items. So in reality these two stores really don’t differ in some typical
