Mark Twain once said, “Good friends, good books, and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life.” Friendship is illustrated in many books, poems, and plays. Authors use friendship as a way to overcome conflict and develop a relationship between characters or people. In the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, there are many conflicts that the characters overcome because of their friendship; this is a good example for teens today because friendship is very important and can help you get through any situation you might face.

In Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the author uses conflict to develop the theme that friendship conquers all. For example, Harry had a conflict that occurred with his broomstick during a Quiddich match. Someone tampered with his broomstick using dark magic because they were trying to kill Harry, but with the help of

The theme of my book is very relatable by tens because when you become a teenager you have to choose exactly what friends you want and don’t want. This means that your taking a step in your life to decide for yourself who you will and won’t hang out with, choose the wrong crowd and you will find yourself in trouble. But if you choose the right people they will help you through anything you need them for. For example, I have surrounded myself with people that I can trust with my life, they are there for me no matter what. These friends let me talk out my frustration and help me deal with problems I am having in my life. Another example is that even though I have been mad at my friends and they at me, we still managed to overcome that anger and come back tighter again. This shows that friends concur anything because even through anger and hatred if they are true fiends they will always come back. So make good friends because in the end they will get you through the hardest things you can ever imagine and they will always be by your side no matter

As an experienced audience, we know that almost always, the book is better than the movie. This is often times because the book simply contains more detail and the movie does not have enough time to include every small detail to match the book. This can also be because the reader has a specific picture in their head of the characters and scenes in the book and how they appear. Everyone pictures the book differently, therefore, there is no way for the creators of the film to possibly please everyone and make it how they envisioned it. However, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was so successful that the makers of the film wanted to make this a movie that the Harry Potter fans would never forget.…

Albus Dumbledore is God God, Lucifer, and Jesus attending a boarding school in a Scotland castle sounds like the beginnings of a very odd joke. Yet it can be argued that this is essentially what went down in the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s stone. Religious symbolism is heavily entrenched in this young adult movie series, as it naturally should. References to religion is often essential in any narrative that depicts the struggle between darkness and light. This is because darkness and light is often used as a symbolic distinction between God and Lucifer.…

The act of friendship is just so impacting and important on which way the story goes. Most likely due to how friends can be a guide to the protagonist and of course assisting in small ways along the way. It is very rare to find a book with no friends to help the protagonist. The only book of the top of my head where the protagonist had no assistance from friends or family is Hatchet. Heck even villains have friends although you could say they are more strained or one-sided such as the one between Iago and Roderigo.…

Friendship is an easy thing to get, but it is not an easy thing to maintain. In book VIII of Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle explains the meanings and purpose of friendships by breaking it down into three categories. The categories are utility, pleasure, and moral character which arise through perceived or actual good. All types of friendships are determined by mutual feelings of goodwill towards each other. Once those feelings disappear then there is no longer any connection between the two people, because only friendships based on goodness will be long lasting.…
