That Sunday night I was returning home with my girlfriend driving me to meet my father. While driving she lost control of the vehicle and rolled and totaled it in the ditch between Rogers City and Alpena. I was ejected out of the car, I blacked out as I was ejected. It was during extra point, I felt my knee buckle and my groin rip in a different way than normal. A huge pain shot through my leg causing me to miss the extra point and instantly my leg was numb and I could not doing anything well for the longest time. My rebound process took about 3-4 weeks, I played through injury but I fought back again and healed myself back into the best condition I have ever been in. Now I find myself in a position to play college football at a high level and I will continue to try reach that goal through

I know I am a workaholic and I am trying to get away from this I am learning to delegate and put my foot down, especially saying “No”. I know I have always felt satisfied when I kept doing more and endlessly tiring myself. I know I have been encouraged by my own self to be me, to be straight with people and with my own self; my own wants and feelings rather than crooked and covert. In this manner I am learning to understand what I want and possibly how to get it.…

I broke my ankle my last second from last game in 8th grade running the ball and got tackled and fell hard on it breaking my tibia and fracturing my fibula and tearing all the ligaments in between. After school on Monday I went to the school trainer, whom after a lengthy examination of my knee, told me the good news that I had no torn ligaments in my knee. I had strained my MCL, a muscle on the inside part of the knee that allows lateral and horizontal motions (Zumerchik 688-689). She told me if the ski on my left foot had twisted even an inch further, I would have had a season ending injury such as a torn MCL or ACL. It would have been very hard to wrap my mind around the fact that I would not be playing any of my favorite sports for the rest of the year and some of next year. The worst injury I had experienced up until the point of hearing that was a high ankle sprain, which was just over a week of healing time.…

My asthma made it difficult, but because I continually practiced, it soon became easier for me to run, and move the ball.…
