The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a Catholic organization and they have a long history of 150 years in helping people in need in New Zealand. They open many secondhand shops named St Vinnies in different regions of the country, including in Palmerston North city. Next, in order to guarantee the fairness, each person in the group need to design her/his own poster. At first, none of group members got awareness of any designing poster softwares, therefore, I tried to cut out some images and stick them together on the paper size A4 while the others wasting time on drawing complicated details. Thus, after studying the introduction as well as the shop’s information on its website, poster group started developing effective marketing communication. The very important action should be taken into account is identify the poster’s target audience, which is whoever pass by the shop obviously can see it. Because of this target, our main step in advertising media selection is “reach”, which means the percentage of audience exposed to the ad campaign in period of time (Kotler & Amstrong, 2014). Above and beyond, concretely, the shop would like to attract those who interested in good quality goods at low prices also do not mind they are secondhand. Hence, the purpose of our poster is to inform and remind people about ST Vinnies shop. As long as many people pay attention to the poster, the shop will be able to get more visitors or donated clothes and other secondhand goods.
