Mark Zuckerberg became aspired to create this addicting, yet powerful social media network to connect people all around the world due to his love of programming and technology. Facebook was intended to connect Harvard students, until it spread to other campus’s, being used by people of all ages. As Zuckerberg created program site’s for entertainment, people became more active with them and started to connect with people outside of their norm. Mark Zuckerberg is one of the most influential and inspiring people to the younger generation due to his immense donations to charity, his overall baseline creation of social media, and by exemplifying that everyone, like himself, can learn from their mistakes.
With Mark’s worldwide social network creation, he became a billionaire, which would have been expected of him to spend the money selfishly, on luxury. However, Mark was different in the sense of the plan he had in mind of how the money would be distributed for important causes. Mark and his wife made the decision to “distribute 99% of their Facebook shares, which is equivalent to $45 billion,” to the cause of human advancement because they anticipated the potential that was to come for future generations if current lives stand up to make a difference (The Verge).
