Changes in pop culture determines what is accepted and unaccepted in society. If someone doesn’t follow a certain trend, they will be picked out by the conformists. Apps like Twitter and Vine are always starting new trends and creating new pop culture. You are not accepted if the don’t fit in with the “normal” people, but that doesn’t actually mean there’s anything wrong with you. It just means you have your own way of thinking and your own outlook on life. People shouldn’t have to agree with everything society says to be accepted. There shouldn’t even be a line that defines accepted and unaccepted. We should just learn to accept people as they are because if we were all the same and liked all the same things then there wouldn’t be any diversity. We shouldn’t want people to conform to the same things. We should want people to be different and bring new concepts to society. I’ve actually been seeing more acceptance, mostly, in the LGBTQ community that has raised a lot of awareness and started some movements. There’s been a lot of stories on social media of different people that did a random act of kindness and are rewarded greatly. All we need is one person’s unique story to inspire tons of people and start movements and fundraisers. When we do something that makes someone else happy, our brain rewards with a rush of dopamine, which makes us happy, so we want to do it again. That’s why we love to help
