A Sniper in Dublin The sniper lay on the cold, hard roof top during a night in July. He thought about why he should do this, kill people. But the he remembered that the world is kill or be killed. The sniper felt the rifle in his hand. The rifle felt cold, just how the sniper thought he would feel after a bullet from his gun would take someone’s life. His grandfather described causing someone’s death felt like a ghost walking through you, thens bus called reality would hit you. Killing someone does not leave leave a warm feeling. The darkness coated the sniper. The black of the night covered the snipers pale, thin face from the enemies he knew would be lurking in the shadows.The sniper didn’t know if anyone hid in the black of night like him, but he had to stay vigil. He had been worn out because of all the training he had to go through to be ready for tonight tonight. The sniper knew he was prepared but the truth is no one is prepared enough for this. He worked hard to achieve the place as a sniper. Even though this wasn’t his dream job he had to stand up for what he believed in. He crawled slowly to the edge of the roof. He breathed in heavily and as he fired he let out his air. The sniper waited for a sound of a bod, but heard none. He missed. Panicky, he hurried back behind a chimney. He knew that the enemy saw him. He didn’t want this night to be the end. He heard a truck pull into the streets down below.
