The Sleepwalker is a story about children agents going on a mission to find out why a distressed boy called about a terrorist attack. Lauren and Jake and their guide Mac all go in to interrogate Fahim while trying to earn some information and stop the terrorists.
I think the author was trying to show us how terrorist attacks is such a big problem and yet is not dealt well enough and how it could destroy countries. I also think the author is saying that taking children into some sort of a camp and training them physically and intellectually will benefit us in the future by sending them on missions and saving the world. Take the War of Ingushetia which began in 2007 as an escalation of insurgency in Ingushetia. The conflict is a civil war that happened in the country with the argument being that the human rights opposed the politicians which created heat and argument and finally it reached breaking point and a war broke out between military and locals like rebellions. These types of situation still happen till this day so it shows relevance to the real world.
This book made me feel sorry for Marcus as the main character because he is only 12 and he is plagued with so much violence around him and his mother is lost and he is forced to fight and go through military procedures to live his life. This movie raises many question about life in general and how life could all be a computer software and you might still be asleep somewhere, but then again that might not be true and you might be dead, no one knows? This is one of the many reasons why this movie attracts many people and how the movie makes you question everything around you. It makes me feel that I’m a small peck in the galaxy and how everything could be fake even me, I could be fake but I’ll never know.
If everyone found out about what life really is then it’s almost guaranteed that some people couldn’t handle the amount of information handed to them and might as well go insane but what if the Matrix was actually real? Imagine how freaky that would be knowing that right now your real self is sleeping in a cocoon with holes in your body, scary isn’t it. It makes the viewer feel helpless and it just generally screws with your mind, it relates to real life because there are some people that actually believe this so it raises the question that no one can answer…what is
