The Slaughter of Innocence: Abortion
Do you think abortion is right? Abortion is a topic that has been discussed and debated for decades. The primary definition for abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. Those who are against abortion (pro-life), argue that abortion is wrong because it kills human life. On the other hand we have people who favor abortion (pro-choice). They believe women are able to do as they wish with their bodies. There are many pros and cons that come with this controversial issue of abortion. I believe that abortion is morally and ethnically wrong.

In Jason Ladock’s article, he explains that if the mother goes through with the pregnancy she will experience labor pain which can be very intrusive. Some women even die during giving birth to their child, so having an abortion can reduce that risk. Also she’s never had a child before and does not know anything about children, she will have difficulties raising the child. Some mothers who live in a poor neighborhood or can barely have food on the table to feed themselves might choose abortion because they do not want to put their child through that. Ladock also says in his article that “technologies have enabled disease detections amongst unborn babies.” In addition to that statement, the mother would not want to let or watch their child be afflicted with pain throughout their life. Therefore a woman shall not be forced to bear a child if she does not want it, as Ladock explains. If she does, certain problems and difficulties will occur for not only the mother, but for the rest of the family and the …show more content…
I agree, as well as others, that abortion is a crime as should be justified as illegal. By choosing abortion, that person does not only experience guilt. They should realize that they just murdered a baby and it will haunt them for the rest of their life. Also he or she was God’s creation and he or she was His gift to the mother. So by acting upon this decision, we are destroying God’s gift and disobeying His commands. There are several methods of abortion to choose from: Dilation and Curettage, Dilation and Evacuation, Dilation and Extraction, Hysterotomy, Intracardial Injection, Prostaglandin, RU-486, Saline Injection, and Suction Abduction. These methods provide gruesome detail and cause serious problems, if they are not handled correctly, with the worst problem being death. Also emotional complications occur. After an abortion the mother will experience, depressions, eating disorders, suicidal thoughts, and more. High risk of breast, cervical, ovarian, and liver cancer can appear later on after the pregnancy also (“Abortion

When someone has an abortion they are compromising the life that the Lord created and selfishly putting their will above the will of the creator of the one who created life. Psalm 127:3 reminds us that children are a gift from God just like every other creation. If God has chosen to gift a woman with a child it is not right for her to chose if the child can live or if she should destroy the Lords perfect gift, but she should praise the Lord for the gift of His creation. The Bible states in Ephesians 2:10 that we are created in Christ and for God, taking away His creation is heinous and defiant to…

Most will argue the point made above that abortion is brutal, morally wrong, and against God’s will. Many will agree with that and many will not. I, however, agree with both. Reading this may be confusing and you might ask yourself, “what does she mean by this?”, Let me explain myself. Abortion to myself is a hard subject to talk about because in my opinion a baby is a baby from when it 's heart forms to when it 's born.…

If a pregnancy is unwanted, and the woman has to continue and have the child anyways, it could cause serious physical and mental problems to her personal well-being, but getting an abortion does not get rid of any physical or mental problems destined to come, and if she did not want to get pregnant that bad, then she should have been…

In Patrick Lee’s and Robert P. George’s, On The Wrong of Abortion, it is argued that abortions are objectively immoral. To support this conclusion, Lee and George state that, the fetus is a complete person in an immature phase of development, that the fetus has the potential to develop into a “person” and that abortions are intentional killings. Pro-Choice defenders argue that a human fetus is not a human being because it cannot live on its own, that they are not ‘people’, and that the mother has the executive decision of not wanting the child in her uterus. According to Patrick Lee in another one of his works, The Pro-Life Argument from Substantial Identity: A Defence. Bioethics , He claims that “What makes it wrong to kill you or me now would…

While pro-choice means that people are trying to legalize Abortions, and that they believe people should have the choice to have either terminate an unwanted pregnancy or keep the baby. There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…
