The Skies Movie Analysis

Scott wakes up as the room is illuminated. The lighting has a strange white tint, but not enough to annoy the eye. There is also a faint odor that smells of garbage. As he opens his eyes, Scott discovers he is sitting in a chair at a table with five creatures that he has never seen before. Seated directly to his right is a brown, blob-like creature which seems to be where the garbage scent is coming from. To his left, at the head of the table, is a robot that has a human-like body, but its head has only one light on the front. Directly across from him sits a white-skinned, humanoid alien with a neck as long as a giraffe, black eyes, a mouth, and two slits which he assumes are some sort of nose. The movie seems familiar to Scott. It portrays how the small gray aliens terrorized the humans. After the movie ends, Scott recognizes it as the movie Dark Skies. Scott laughs in his head because he knows that the grays have never terrorized humans like that.
“Human, is this true?” the white creature asks.
“Yes, this has been happening for years. That was the first time we discovered they were real,” replies Scott in an amused tone.
“He is lying! We have never terrorized humans. We are a peaceful race!” exclaims the gray.
“How can you say that? We just saw proof of you terrorizing this poor species,” retorts the praying mantis. Another video is played. However, this one shows the good nature of the grays and how they help other alien species in their galaxy. All of the creatures are confused as to which video they should believe. After several more hours of watching videos on each species, a video comes on titled “The Humans”. This video shows every war dating as far back as b.c. times. This one shocks Scott since all the videos of the other creatures seemed unrealistic and ridiculous but this one of the humans is
