The single shard is a nonfiction book. It tells about a boy named Tree-ear that lived under a bridge with Craneman and he only had one leg. And Tree-ear watched a man named Min do his work. And one day tree-ear started to work for him because Min had an order to make. And one day Craneman was pushing a grocery cart and the grocery cart was to heavy and the bridge collapsed on Craneman and he was holding a monkey in his hand when he died. When Tree-ear got back Min told him that Craneman had fell and the water was cold and Craneman’s heart could not take the cold water. And he told him that he was sorry that Craneman had died.
