The Similarities Between 'Katniss': Comparing The Book And The Movie

First, in the book they see the avox girl get pulled into the hovercraft.In the movie all you see in the hovercraft.See in the movie they see the hovercraft while talking.In the book they see her while hunting.

In the movie Greasy Sae gives her the pin. As in the book the mayor's daughter Madge Undersee gives her the pen.In the movie when Greasy Sae and Katniss are doing a trade she picks it up from the bucket and says what is this and then Greasy Sae says a mockingjay pin and Katniss goes to put in down then Greasy Sae says no keep it.In the book Madge Undersee gives Katniss the pin which origanal belonged to Madges aunt when going to see Katniss before she left for the capitol Madge went to see her and offered the pin to katniss

In the book, Foxface dies after Thresh, but in the movie, she dies first. In the film Katniss and Peeta learn of her death when they come across her corpse; in the book they only realize she's nearby when they see a hovercraft extricate her remains
In the book, Cato endures the pain from the Muttations ripping him apart for several hours after being dragged into the mouth of the Cornucopia, and mouths "please" to Katniss, indicating for her to kill him to end his suffering. When she can get a good shot, she shoots him in the head. In the movie, Katniss shoots him shortly after he falls to the Muttations to spare him a horrible death. We do hear Cato softly cry "Please" before Katniss shoots him through the heart. This wasn't possible in the book because he was wearing body armour

In conclusion,both are very good but a lot of differences Katniss and Peeta both live and cato still dies.Katniss shows her bravery when she is putting an arrow through the pigs apple in its mouth.In my opion i didnt feel anything when i read the book but the movie had more emotion in it. So they're about equal amount of similarities and
