In the play of Antigone Antigone was very noble. Antigone was the daughter of Oedipus and the fiancé of Haemon, who was the son of Creon. She takes a noble cause when she goes against Creon and buries her brother. Her brother was considered an enemy to the kingdom, but she felt family came first. She wanted to take care of her loved ones even after they were dead. “We have only a little time to please the living. But all eternity to love the dead.” This quote shows that she eill lack ways care about family, which is very noble. Creon put himself above the gods and this shows thst he doesn't act nobly. Creon repeatedly proves to put himself above others. "Am I to rule this land for others or myself?" This quote paints Creon how he is a coward. She broke the law and faced death for her noble and brave actions when she buried her brother. It was not her intention to get in a fight with Creon as she said “I was born to join in love, not hate - that is my nature.” This shows that she didn't esnt to start anything, but if a challenge arose she wouldn't back down from it. Creon wasn't brave because wouldn't write his wrongs and this to the deaths of three people who he said he loved. Creon's actions didn't reflect his love, as he did nothing to try and stop them from killing themselves. Antigene was never swayed by the majority opinion and did what she felt was right, “No one loves the messenger who brings bad news.” This shows that she didn't care what people thought of her, but it also highlights her
