African and Mesoamerican rulers or religious authorities used art and architecture to promote many points of their society, and other times either used both for other proclamations too. African and Mesoamerican region both used art to explain the power and stance of the rulers themselves through coins and jewelry, also it was common to use statues that represented the views on the relationship between men and women in their society, and last both architectural arts showed the religions and beliefs. One contrast is, Mesoamerica had pictographs to explain their society, and more modern pottery with detailed images to show the price range (richer people can afford the more detailed ones); also Mesoamerica unlike African art showed the everyday
