Facebook is a very popular site for many age groups. You can have a personal account for yourself, or you can create a group page. For instance, you can create a page for your employees. Only the people added to your group can see what is posted. Many managers do this to post important dates, meetings, notes, and changes. Of course, you can use it at any age. Twitter is a little more basic, and does not have near as many options as Facebook does. For the most part, twitter is usually public or worldwide. Anyone can go look at your account or follow you. Once again, if your account is not on private, anyone can “follow” you to see your things. However, their things will not pop up on your feed unless you follow them. You can also go into your settings and set it to private. Doing so, when people want to see your things, instead of just anyone following you, it is requested to you. You then have to accept them, so they are allowed to be able to see your things. What 's the point in even having a Twitter page if you are going to set it to private? Twitter is public and involved in worldwide actions. On twitter you can post pictures, videos and statuses. On twitter your word posts, (statuses on Facebook) are known as “tweets” on twitter. When you are tweeting, you are limited to only 140 characters. Most people on twitter follow their favorite celebrities or idols. On twitter, you can “favorite” people 's posts. Kind of like “like” on Facebook. You can also quote them, to share what they said and also whatever you want to say or add to it. Retweeting is very popular in twitter. It is basically just sharing someone 's post the exact way it is. There is direct message to personally send someone a message. For direct message you do not have to download an app. There is a button through your twitter account to direct message someone. There is no game links, or game requests to get annoyed by, like you would have on
