Now there were a couple songs in this but I really enjoyed the first one the best, so I focused on that song more but many of the songs are similar in there beat. This concert had four instruments all of which were string instruments which allowed for the song to flow better with each instrument. I love the sound of violin and viola together, while the cello and guitar are strumming at a lower beat than them. Overall this concert was amazing I could see and hear so much beauty through the entire performance. The final song that was played is called one love, which is sung and played by people all over the world. This song made me feel so much soul and happiness as soon and I heard the guitar play. When first hearing this song I was instantly surprised that so many people could around the world could come together and sound absolutely great and have some amazing harmony as well. In this song the instruments you hear are drums, guitar, and many beautiful voices in harmony. This song was the only one with voices, which to me allowed for more of a connection to the

You can hear the drum tapping and the guitar being plucked, then the rest of the band joins in. The song is chaotic. The full cast has solos being pasted to each other quickly one by one. I appreciated the effort and music the mariachi group gave in their performance. I noticed how the trumpet usually took the main role while the violins supported the trumpets voice, usually by pizzicato. The guitar and guitarrón were mainly the background music that played the same rhythm over and over. It made me realize the beauty of…

It was very soothing and relaxing to listen to. The music that the group produced was smooth throughout the concert. In the second song, the trumpet player used the technique of covering the hole of the trumpet where the sound comes out of with his hand and it made the trumpet sound similar to the trombone. The music was smooth and slow enough that one could move to it and follow along with it.…

The concert of the music from Appalachia was unique. I enjoyed it a lot for it not only was musically pretty, but there was substance and meaning to the words. These songs were stories of the struggles and triumphs of the people. During the concert, I felt the emotion and the presence of the people and afterwards I felt a sense of gratefulness for all that I have. I imagine the people from Appalachia contributing to the beauty and culture of their community as any other people of a community add to the beauty of theirs.…

All the musical performances were done very well and had great moments such as the four hands on the piano, Claude Debussy, which showed exceptional skills on the piano from Kevin Won and Rex Chou. Furthermore, there was quite a few people there for a string of wonderful pieces of music. Additionally, there were unique pieces such as an original composition which was played with guitars which no other performances used. Another was the Tristette by Chopin which was performed by Linda Lin (piano) and Cindy Le (violin) and the violin emphasized the sadistic tone that Chopin wanted when written. The finale was more like a performance of a school band with the whole Music Society coming together for the last piece of music, Serenade for Strings by Edward…

I could tell the players were into the songs by their body positions and facial expressions. The second song called “Concerto for Flute and Band, op. 39” was enjoyable, especially when flute soloist Jean played because it sounded soften and calming. The harmony for this song was very dreamlike. The third song called West Side Story for Wind Symphony sounded very panic and scary. The flute player Jean was impressive in how he was able to play the loudest while still being heard, even though the orchestra were still very loud as well.…

andI also appreciated that they weren’t all just brass and woodwind instruments like you would find in a high school band. Some instruments that I took note of were the two harps, two bass’, six cellos, some viola’s, and many violins. There were also tubas, oboes, bassoons, and a grand piano. Before the performance started, a student who was performing stood up and walked to the conductor’s stage, and tuned all of the…
