Sloth is not only an animal but a deadly sin When thinking of the sloth as an animal, “slow” is the first characteristic that comes to mind. So, with that used to reference and define sloth as a sin, it is a mental, physical and spiritual laziness. In Charles Baxter’s novel, There’s Something I Want You To Do, he depicts a doctor in a tiring turmoil in the chapter called Sloth. In Sloth, a doctor is in a coffee shop as he thinks back to one of his patients whom he diagnosed with Eisenmenger syndrome.
