A curse put upon one, can also be known as the blessing hope. It is a desire for something to happen or a feeling of trust. To many people hope is seen as a blessing, yet it is a curse one can not see. It is put upon an individual influencing the hopefulness for a certain thing to happen regrading the possibilities of it actually happening. Hope is a unsighted curse since life does not always turn out the way one may want it to be, it can blind individuals senses, and hope has no limits. We hope for the best of life although it can go many directions.

Life does not always turn out the way we want it to be. The reason as to why hope is being portrayed as a curse is because we strongly believe events will happen without realizing the odds of it’s potential occurrence. Although we make our own decisions, we have no control of what will occur next. In the Greek myth “Pandora”, Pandora hopes that the box in Epimetheus home will grant satisfactory to our own self. In the text the author states her desires towards the box “You might open the box, and then we could see its contents for ourselves” (Page 1). Pandora strongly agrees that the box will grant her

This leads to unrealistic cravings that have low chances of happening and will tear ourselves apart. Having said that people today tend to have unrealistic hopes and desires that leads to different consequences they did not hope for. For instance in the myth “Pandora”, the author states her feelings . “As for poor little Pandora, she flung herself upon the floor and rested her head on the fatal box. She was crying as if her heart would break” (Page 2). The quote uncovers Pandoras regrets and sorrow in her actions. Her hope blinded her senses towards other cons and outcomes. Hope can blind individuals mentally as it did to Pandora. The main factors of the blindness is that hope has no limits and
