Soldiers sometimes joined the army, because other people join too and become famous, and their love for America or their country. Hannah narrates how some soldiers join the army because they want to be like somebody else “It made me love America to know he was in it, and I hadn 't loved anything for high three years then”(Hannah 309), we realize how every teen enroll in the army because they think it is something beautiful, that at the end they will become famous without realizing that decision will affect them in tremendous bad way. However, even though soldiers denies that killing of innocent people doesn’t affect them, deep inside them they are suffering, and feeling that they become monsters. For example, Hannah narrates how soldiers end up realizing they are persuading horror in a war instead of happiness, “ Here we shot each other up, all we had going was the pursuit of horror. I never had time to be but two things a giggler and a killer”(Hannah 312). We can realize that it doesn’t matter how soldiers try to deny the true meaning of war, by fighting and killing, they end up suffering because they realize that the only thing they are becoming is a monster by killing each
