The Seventh Man was put in a life or death situation without the proper experience, and he did the best he could. He did run away at first, but he did not go far, he didn’t want to leave his friend. What more could we have asked from a ten year old boy, in the heart of a crisis.
If you and a loved one were put into a crisis and if you would have done one thing differently, would you feel guilty? The Seventh Man was thrown into this situation without knowing, and it did not end well for his friend. But all the times that he thought it over in his head and tried to save him again, he still get the same ending. The fact of the matter is that, he could not have saved him, he did everything that he could have on spot. The Seventh Man shouldn’t feel guilty, and neither should anyone else faced with survivor
