Although, the conformity we just talked about was a little different; we are not to conform to the wrong doings and sinful patterns that are of the world. We are to stand strong in our faith. As 1 Corinthians 2:5 says, “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” When I was in high school we used to go over our tests in class after we took them. The teacher would tell us to raise our hand if we picked A as our answer, so forth. Every time I missed a question on the test, I would raise my hand for the answer that most people chose. For the fact that I did that, I conformed to the group that was around me. Another example is how you have conformed to your friends and family. You grow up and around people your whole life. As you grow up you conform to your family and friends. You will start to do and act like one another. This is a different way to look at conforming, but it is still conforming to people around you. I do not think this is wrong. The only reason that I would think is wrong is if you were conformed to the wrong crowd. If you became friends with people that had bad habits, then you would most likely start conforming to those habits just as they did. You have to always choose your friends and the group you are conforming to wisely. You must understand that you will most likely become like the people you hang around with. You conform to the people around you to fit in. I think that is a lot of our problems today. Everyone just wants to fit in so they find anyone they can to be a part of and start changing their ways and conforming to be like them. If you are a desperate person, and very young, you will conform to the first group that appeals to you and, consequently, you will start to
