The book “The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Richards Covey is a self-improvement or how type of book that helps or gives you a set of key points on how to complete any of your business or technology related goals by being proactive, being with the end mind, putting what’s important first, think like a winner, first understand to be understood , find beneficial allies, stay healthy so you can be the best you you can be and find your voice so you can inspire others to find theirs. Being proactive is a good first step in trying to achieve almost any if not all goals. You might think being proactive means getting involved in stuff like club’s organizations in your area. To me this to me is important because putting important things first means you know how prioritize and tis will insure tat your goal will be achieved. But in the book covey suggest four steps identify roles. In the book he tells us to first of all write down what you want to devote your time and energy to. For example, improvement in one’s self, your role in a family wither it being a child or head of the house, or your role at work. Next is to write one or t goals for each role. And because of the other two steps the goals should be part of the bigger picture. Scheduling is the next step. With scheduling you are going to need to sit down and write out your whole day. With this you can see the unnecessary stuff you do can be replaced with stuff that’ll help you. Then daily adapting. This where you wake up and take a few minutes of each day to go over the schedule you made and revisit the things that will help you achieve your …show more content…
This means start off with the I’m going to win no matter up type of mind set. opposed to being unhappy or I don’t feel like it types attitudes, the author defines thinking to win as a mindset that is always looking for a third alternative to the me or your decision. Most people live in other mind sets that aren’t going to be beneficial you. To know these unproductive mindsets, you must develop the three-character traits essential the thinking to win mindset Integrity, Maturity, and Abundance mentality. Try thinking about your relationships between friends as a bank account. By being an active user of your account by making deposits, you ensure that the funds will be there when the time comes to make a withdrawal. Thinking to win is often difficult, but is made much easier by the presence of a hefty emotional bank
