There are thousands of immigrants living here in America, many of them have the same daily struggles which include housing, food, health, and most important education. The way America treats immigrants from all over the world is crucial. The discrimination they receive doesn 't only affect them emotionally but it also affects them mentally. The treatment they receive affects their children as well, their children face discrimination/bullying in school just because they are children of immigrants. No matter how hard immigrants try to fit in, America will always find a way to make them feel less. This issue is important to me because of many reasons. In the article “The Effect of Immigrants on U.S. Employment and Productivity” by Giovani Peri he writes, “At the same time, evidence is scant that immigrants diminish the employment opportunities of U.S. born workers” (Peri). Some will argue that immigrants steal the job from citizens when many of them abuse the benefits they are able to receive and they lack trying to find a job since they are offered many services just for being U.S, born. Also, Alex Norwrasteh in “Immigration’s Real Impact on Wages and Employment”, argues A large body of academic economic research has found that immigration has a relatively small effect on U.S. born American wages and their employment prospects” (Norwrasteh). I believe we are all able to work together to try to help the immigrants have the life they came to seek migrating to the U.S. and to be able to get equal rights as any other hard working person. We should be able to help them keep a stable job for the immigrants to be able to provide money for their family. Helping immigrants with a good housing where they aren’t taken advantage of, helping their kids get the education they need and deserve. There is many things the government can do to help the immigrants, they should be able to help the immigrants that deserve the help, the ones that work hard for all of the things they have. Hard working immigrants should be able to have the same opportunity as any of the U.S. born. If immigrants help the environment and the economy, then I believe they should be able to get treated equally just like any other person is getting treated.
