The Serial Killer Ted Bundy

Have you ever heard the story of Ted Bundy, the serial killer? Most people have, but no one knew, when he was born on November 24, 1946, that he would become one of the most famous serial killers of all time (Ramsland, 2013). Before killing took over, he seemed like a normal guy with a successful future ahead of him (Green & Heilbrun, 2014). Although he grew up poor, everyone knew Bundy was a smart, good looking kid, with a lot of charm (Green & Heilbrun, 2014). Bundy would go around making his childhood seem like everyone's dream (Greene & Heilbrun, 2014). He soon grew up to be a very successful man with a major in psychology and a job as a chairman's assistant in the Republican Party of Washington State (Greene & Heilbrun, 2014).

Soon all of his success would turn to madness as he found his first victim. Bundy's first victim was a young college student who, while in her sleep, was brutally attacked by Bundy (Greene & Heilbrun, 2014). This would not end his bad reputation, as he assaulted many other women in his lifetime (Greene & Heilbrun, 2014). When more research was put into the Bundy case, it was found he did not live the perfect childhood after all. It appeared that Bundy's troubles started at a young age. In an interview conducted by Bundy's aunt, she recalled waking up to find Bundy hiding knives under his covers; at the time she just believed it was a prank (Ramsland, 2013). Also, it was found that Bundy began his criminal days back when he was a teen, when he would steal cars to make people believe he was apart of the upper-class (Greene & Heilbrun, 2014). Bundy's manipulative ways seemed to get him through life, as he would do, or say, things to make people believe he was innocent, and only after the murders did people confess to knowing the evil side of Bundy (Ramsland,
