When the students from the elementary schools move up to the middle school the teachers job gets a little more challenging. The teachers realize that not all students are understanding the same subjects. Some of the student will know about certain subjects, while others are struggling to understand the lesson. This problem is a result of the separation of schools in our school system. We need to make one school so all the students have the same understanding of what they are learning. When the schools are separate, the teachers are also separate. When the teachers are not all together, they start to have separate teaching strategies. Because all of the teachers are not all together to tell them to teach certain ways, then some teachers start to teach some subjects a certain way than others. If one school was built, then this problem would disappear. All of the teachers would be together and help all the students rather than only helping the one that are in their school. Having one school building also means that all the students would be together learning the same lessons at the same time. Because they would all be taught the same lessons, when someone is having trouble understanding a subject, there is plenty of other students who can help. Just like moving to the high school, ten and eleven year olds are put into a building that they have never been before and told to go to classes with teachers and other students they have never met before. This can become stressful for the younger children because they have to meet new people, as well as learn new subjects that they might not have ever heard of before. This is also a problem caused by the separation of schools. Because the schools are separated, many children have never met some kids from other parts of town unless they are introduced outside of school. If there was only one elementary school then children would be introduced to each other at an earlier age and feel more comfortable being around each other. Then when they are moved into the middle school, they will not have to worry about meeting new people and can worry more about the lesson that they are
