The Semanas In Siddhartha

Siddhartha is apart of a Brahmin family where he excels at all the prayers and rituals and everyone especially his father knows he is the ideal image of a Brahmin. For Siddhartha this isn’t what he wants. He has dedicated his life so far at memorizing the prayers and rituals, but feels like he has learned everything he can from them and that he won't reach Nirvana if he continues this path. Siddhartha decides he must leave and find his path to Nirvana ,but first he needs his father's blessing. Siddhartha stands day and night until his father gives him his blessing and gaining his father’s respect in the process. Yet again he is let down(not out of lack of trying/effort) and him and Govinda decide it is time to seek out the holiest man the Buddha for possible guidance. Govinda and Siddhartha go to hear the teachings of the Buddha. After hearing the Buddha Siddhartha is still dissatisfied even though he realizes this is the Holiest man. On his way into the city he sees a woman that cultivates his senses for he is mesmerized by her beauty. Her name is Kamala, Siddhartha in all of his dirtiness and rags for clothes decides to approach her and ask her to teach him the art of love.
