Mitty resembles a really important character in my opinion towards Walter Mitty. Even though at some times she was thought to be a little “pushy” towards Walter Mitty by her demanding tone, she had only done that to make him realize that zoning out is never a good idea in which one occasion Walter Mitty was driving. Of course that is not the smartest idea, he could have gotten into a severe car accident. So in some cases, Mrs. Mitty did save his life. In the article it sounded like Walter Mitty never really seemed to thank his wife for looking out for him. Either he was arguing with her about being too insisting, or he was recalling all of those scenarios in his mind again to not even notice his wife. In many occasions, Mrs. Mitty had to remind him about things he had to do. For example, she kept nagging him about getting the overshoes he needed. He kept falling back into the numerous thoughts that were planted inside his head so Mrs. Mitty always had to remind him about the shoes. Or earlier in the article, she had to remind him about the gloves he had to wear. That, of course, left to another moment of Walter Mitty zoning out and thinking about being a surgeon from the thought of gloves. Mrs. Mitty, in my opinion, just wanted to help. I think Walter Mitty did not see that in her because he was always stuck thinking and not realizing how helpful she actually
