The sculpture made by Roxy Paine is called Maelstrom and is made out of stainless steel. The sculpture is evenly spaced out, but towards the middle of it the rods get thicker. He uses a dance of curving lines and ragged irregular lines to make this sculpture. These tangles rods seem to pull away from each other. Maybe to create some tension between two things.
Roxy Paine is a very talented artist with a knack for stainless steel sculptures. These sculptures typically resemble nature and its beauty. But why not just use an average tree to display? Paine tries to find the beauty in all things.
