Belongingness involves trust, a currency we all bank on. For example when a girlfriend rides in her boyfriend's car on a way to a date, the parents of the girl are having to trust the judgement of the boy who is most likely driving. Trust is a two way street where both parties are expected to reap benefits. However in the history of the world, this has not always been the case.
