This book does a great job keeping the reader what will happen next. If you aren’t into to history this book wouldn’t be for you. It has lots of dates in the beginning and kind of drags a little before it will get good. However, if you stay with it and keep reading it gets much better. The book has strong points but it also hits it lower points and it doesn’t seem as interesting.…

Phase one: Before you read Before i actually get in to my reflection about the book i would like to tell you that the book i first told you is not the book i am doing right now. There were many reason i wasn't able to do that one, first of all i couldn't find the book anywhere i ask all the libraries and they all said that book is checked out in their systems, second reason was that the book was extremely long and i wouldn't be able to finish it, third reason was that the book is extremely boring i looked up a book summary online for it and i got so bored i almost fell asleep reading the summary. So now the book i have is The Bean Tree, now don't get me wrong i'm not saying that this book is NOT boring but its better than my first book. And last thing, i forgot to ask you if this book is okay to read, but i asked the libraries if either the setting is in Tucson or Arizona or the author live in Arizona or Tucson and they said yes sorry ahead of time.…

Bone Gap by Laura Ruby is a fantasy book about perspective. A main topic in the book is the difference between looking and seeing. It includes imagery of fantasy, different views of self-image, and the heavy burden that beauty can be and the detrimental ways we look at and treat women. It can be dreadfully tense and there is this feeling of anxiety that runs throughout the novel. The book is romantic when it needed, empowering where it counts, and is simply beautiful in its telling.…

    S. E Hinton’s novel, rumble fish, tells the story of a boy named Rust-James and his older brother, the motorcycle boy, a pair of gang members whose life leads them from violent encounter to another. The motorcycle boy tries to leave all the violence from the gang behind him but he can’t. He has to look over his brother, who is leading his old gang, from several beatings. Soon he falls back into his old habits again. This book has taught many lessons, but the two that stood out to me are: violence solves very few problems, and that is better to rely on your brains instead of your fists.…

This amazing novel was really unpredictable as everything happened like a rollercoaster ride. However, it did have some drops throughout the book that I did not find amusing. “Persepolis” by Marjane Satrapi is a great graphic novel upon explaining the Islamic revolution from the eyes of a ten year old. The novel may not be completely accurate since the author was young yet you get to capture the feelings of the struggle of the Iranian people. Their freedom of speech, their peace was taken away. This novel really exposes the fact that if women didn’t wear their veil correctly they would be taken to jail and hold in custody. Marjane talks about how she “saw violence her first time”.…
