One of the most well-known engineering discipline is mechanical engineering, which is, the process of designing, constructing, and use of machinery. Mechanical engineering can be date back as far as 287 – 212 BC, with the work of Archimedes’ screw, which effectively raise water in an upward direction. Mechanical engineering proportional grew in the introduction of the industrial revolution where the steam engine was made in the 18th century. In today’s time mechanical engineering, mainly concerns with forces and motion, which includes engines and machines. A renowned television show host who is known for his love for science is also a mechanical engineer. Bill Nye, “The Science Guy” as most people known him by, enrolled in Cornell University where he obtained his mechanical engineering degree. “Bill Nye the Science Guy” was created by Bill Nye himself as he even wrote and direct the whole show. The targeted audience was children, however, it also caught eyes of adults and it was use to aid in classroom setting to teach and have a better understanding of science and nature. “The science guy” is most well-known for his lab coat and bow tie which adds a physical characteristic to his name. Not only “Bill Nye the Science guy” was his entertainment profession, he also wrote several books, aired in multiple television shows such as “Brain Storm.” Also he starred in a Disney movie “The Principal takes the holiday.” He also has many talents even in dancing as he participated in the TV show “Dancing with the stars” in their 17th season, however he was eliminated in his 3rd week due to an injury. Bill Nye had a special talent not only in engineering but also with people, which is why he became an entertainer which is a once in a life time chance, rather than pursuing his engineering
