The scene starts of with a POV shot viewed through a rearview mirror. Where suddenly a white van appears. Farhad, the Iranian shopkeeper is inside, waiting to ambush Daniel. Here, all of the main characters and objects of the scene are highlighted clearly for the audience before the event takes place. For example, Lara, the gun, Farhad, and Daniel and it shows them that these elements are going to be important in the final. Inside the house, Lara is seen, as she runs up to the door. We used this medium shot of Lara to show her from the perspective of her mother. As a result of the harsh lighting, she is sharply outlined. It creates suspense through our use of music and camera shots The suspense created was effective because it held the audience's attention right up until the moment they find that Lara is still alive because the gun was loaded with blanks. With this scene, we wanted to show that the essence of ‘Crash’ does not lie in the screaming matches and arguments. It lies in the innocence of a little girl. A girl protected from hatred by the impenetrable force of love, love that shows an element of hope in the battle against racial tension. As humans, we often hope for an invisible cloak. We wish for something that will protect us from the vulnerabilities of being human, the danger of living in this world. The story presumes that if we are ill or wounded, we will die. But then comes the miracle—the cloak’s magic is realized. This scene can teach us that we are the potential protectors of one another if we make the right
