Chapter 21: The New England Holiday. In the final chapters of the Scarlett Letter, there are many significant similarites to the beginining chapters of the story. There is an mirror imagery affect that is in contrast with the opening of this the chapter. Once again the people are gathered in for this special occasion just like in the beginning of the story, expect Hester was hated and shunned by the towns people, However the narrator goes on in describing how amazing and beautiful Hester was. He described her as a strong feminine woman to be able to put up with all the terrible things going on. Now in this chapter Hester goes unnoticed by the towns people they don’t really pay her
