Pride can be a very bad thing to have if you have to much of it. In a short story, called The Scarlet Ibis by James Hurst the narrator is guilty of his brother doodle's death. Some of the reasons he is guilty are he doesn't like his brother and makes plans to kill him. He also is mean to him and leaves him by himself when he gets mad at him.
