The Santa Ana is dusty, hot winds that blows westward though the canyons in the direction of the coastal areas. It ensues occasionally during fall through spring. Also, the cold air get trap in the Rookies to Southern California coastal range. The surface of it has high pressure. Additionally, Santa Ana started from the 1950’s till now, another name for it is called the Devils Breath.
Furthermore, Santa Ana happen sometimes in October to March. This is when and why California has those wildfires in the forests. Due to the those winds the is slight to not at all rain that is falling. Also, the Santa Ana is hot or warm due to the Great Basin that are at higher elevation. But the LA Basin is near sea level.
