Press and hold the multitask key on your Galaxy S7 to open the multitasking menu. The button looks like pair of overlapping rectangles and is to the left of your Home button. If you have owned a Samsung smartphone in the past, this button used to look like a partial rectangle with two horizontal lines inside of it and is in the same spot. From here, you can do one of two things: the first is that you can close the apps individually by swiping it off the screen or by tapping a small "X" to close the application. Despite how odd it sounds, swiping the app off the screen will, in fact, close it.
