The Salem Witch Trials were incidents, which took place in the 1600’s, and which had proved the absolute devotion the Puritans had to God. The people of Salem targeted others, and even put them to death, for their ‘betrayal of God’ through any kind of unexplainable incidents that are given the scapegoat of witchcraft, even though it was never explicitly against any kind of law in their colonies. This same type of event has happened again and again throughout the history of the United States, and even of the world, by many different types of religions, and hate, radical, and prejudice groups. The Government had a blacklist for all of the ‘known Communists’ in the country. This list was filled with actors, writers, singers, business owners, and other normal, everyday people. Though it was never illegal to follow the Communist ideas, but it was obviously frowned upon, and people on this list lost jobs, family, friends, reputation, and anything else involved with a person’s daily life in America. Though, not everyone on this list was an actual Communist. People were blamed of being a Communist just so that others could gain monetarily in any way the blamed person has been stopping them. While, some of the people on the list were Communists or spies, not everyone on this list was on for a justified reason, and many lives were ruined because of this
