On planes people of color, if looked to be African, you were not permitted to travel. If claimed to have Ebola you were kicked off of the plane. Though the first person to have Ebola in the United States was a man named Thomas Eric Duncan. And American man. He was allowed in planes to travel with his wife to find a cure. Why? Because he was not held accountable to the African stereotypes.
When Ebola first came to the attention of people my age they would say if you were sick you had Ebola. “Symptoms of Ebola Virus typically induce: weakness, fever, aches, diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach pain.”(Ebola Fast Facts 2015, July 31). This symptoms usually show up after 8-10 days. People all over the world have took the real severity of the epidemic as a joke. If we as citizens took the time to ask questions and knew facts not rumors than witch hunts would not occur. People don’t always take into consideration how others feel. There are victims who are very sick and cannot help themselves. Some are born into a sickness. Also some people have been diagnosed through breast milk because their mother did not know. There are so many ways for people to get sick. Yet they allow The Ebola outbreak to change their way of life. They even start to act hysterical over something they cannot change. Even victims cannot change. Ebola has not been identified. Scientist believe it to be in the air. Once someone is to get it the only ways someone else can is through body
