The message of this passage illuminates the concept that Jesus will always be present in the world. Jesus displayed that through the abundance of fish the disciples caught that he still cared for them and looked after them. This act of catching the fit for the disciples showed them that the Lord was always going to be present in their lives. Roman was a Colombian immigrant who worked as a staff sergeant in the Army National Guard that aspired to serve his country. However, while on duty an IED explosion exploded that left Roman with serious injuries in both legs. In addition, Roman had to have three extensive surgeries and even by going through the ten gruesome months of rehabilitation, the incident still caused harm to his overall functioning. Even after all these obstacles Roman had to face and endure, he still believed that he can succeed. He went on with life with the correct mind set that he just has to adjust to his new lifestyle and not let hard obstacles bring him down. Furthermore during his rehabilitation, Roman found out that he was very into rowing and liked that it was hard sport to do. As Roman fell in love with his new passion, he became part of the a rowing club right in Miami Beach, that ties in with the Paralympic Sport Club. Roman inspired others to never let a bad situation bring you down or let it from keeping your head up. Roman;s story hit me hard personally because it relates somewhat to what I had to endure with my knee. After reading this article, Roman serves as someone I could now look up to and admire.
