The painting that I decided to write about is one of the most popular paintings in the museum and its called “The Russian Bride’s Attire”. The Russian bride 's attire history is one of the most paintings I have ever seen in my life. The dimension of this painting is 110 x 147 inches. It was made by a very famous Russian painter named Konstantin Makovsky in 1887 and it was completed in Russia. Konstantin Makovsky was born on june 20th in moscow. In 1851 Makovsky got into Moscow school of paintings where he stayed on the top and always stayed number 1 student . In the article Pensive” Ciwt explains that “Some say shyness, others say reluctance, sadness, glumness and depression are also speculated. The usual moods associated with bride happiness, merriment, excitement are thought to be surprisingly absent”. I think this means according to people the moods of bride ‘happiness, excitements are missing. In my perspective the reason their moods are missing because Maria is probably sad about leaving her family and not really ready to settle down with some stranger(which usually happens in every wedding). The another reason there is no happiness or excitement on Maria 's face could be something else for example she does not want to get married yet or want to stay in her family with her mom and sister. According to the article the reason Maria was lacking happiness was because she was Alexis second choice. “But given the circumstances surrounding the wedding, I along with many others, am not surprised at Maria 's overt lack of joy. For one thing she is Alexis 's second choice a matter widely known. Originally, when it was time for Alexis to marry, he was given six beautiful girls to choose from and chose Eufemia.
