The Ruins Of Morla

The model I created is a depiction of the world of Erilea. The main continent on which the Throne of Glass series happens. The map shows the full continent of Erilea from the northern Frozen Wastes and Terrasen to the Deserted Land and Eyllwe in the South. Starting In the upper left-hand side of the map I created the lands of the Frozen Wastes, complete with a mountain chain. This area even has the Ruins of Morla and the Jungle of Morla. Down from here is the land called the Western Wastes. This land is the land created when the Crocan witches of the Witch Kingdom cursed the land to never grow any plants or animals so long as the Blackbeak and Ironteeth witch clans tried to rule it or claim land there. This is a land made mostly of desert and sand. Hence the name. Within the Deserted lands, there are several sections; the Singing Sands, the Red Desert, the Black Dunes, the Black sands of Roth, and off slightly from the coast of the Black Sands of Roth are the volcano flows, that create the black sands. The Singing Sands are the section of the desert that is known to create illusions from those who wander through it. Singing them deeper into the sands and eventually killing them. Similarly to how Sirens call sailors into the sea, the Singing Sands call wanderers into her dry grasp. The Red Desert is the Red Desert because the sands are red. In this section of the Deserted Land is the home of the Silent Assassins. The Silent Assassins are the group of assassins that Celaena was sent to find and train with (they are notoriously hard to find and most get lost and die in the Singing Sands) after she ruined Arobynn’s slave trade deal with the Pirate King of the Dead Islands. After he beat the living daylights out of her and her partner, Sam. To the left of the home of the Silent Assassins is the Oasis of Barg. This is the most reliable oasis in most of the desert. It is supposedly around 20 miles away from the assassins home base. Although unfortunately, I was unable to properly scale the space between the two iconic areas, so it seems to be a far greater distance. The space between these places should not be used to scale the rest of the continent as the continent is quite a bit larger than what that scaling would suggest. Below the Red Desert are the Black Dunes and the Black Sands of Roth. Both of these sections were created from the volcanic flows of the volcano flows. The volcanic rocks were broken down to manifest the sands of the Black Dunes. Just above the Black Dunes and to the right of the Silent Assassins’ keep is the city of Xandria.
